14th Sep 2003, and it was Ray Sterry's Silver Jubilee Hash. Sundance celebrated 25 years of hashing by setting a trail for OCH3, EGH3, SUCK H3 and guests.
Here we are at the first check, looking keen to get running again..?
And milling about the stone circle. Apparently if you look closely, you can see live hare Ray diving into the bushes so we don't spot him coming back the other way!
It was a "run" characterised by the milling about, rather than the speed...
As you see. (Is that fisticuffs about to break out at the back of the pack there?)
After the run, Ray invited us all back to his place for lunch in the garden.
Great food and a lovely place to be on a sunny Sunday in September.
We ate well and socialised.
Then Ray took an interested group off on a guided tour of the village.
With ancient Chaldon church and its 12th century mural as a highlight. Thanks, Ray!
